Kumbakonam degree coffee or filter coffee is renowned all over the world. the traditional coffee filters, dabara set and the fresh aroma of the coffee are a good way to start a day with energy. I'am a coffee lover and cannot start my day without a cup of hot filter coffee. though there are so many varieties of coffee all over the world,filter coffee has a high place in all our hearts for sure. this is the fantastic blend of coffee powder, chicory and milk with a correct mix of sugar. there are so many instant coffee powders available in the market but nothing can beat the taste of the freshly brewed filter coffee. Kumbakonam which is known as the temple city of Tamilnadu is also famous for its coffee 'Kumbakonam Degree Coffee'. Here is the simple way of preparing this filter coffee to start each day fresh.
Ingredients:
- Filter coffee powder
- sugar
- Milk
- Water
- Take a coffee filter and place a round piece of thin cotton cloth on the top jar so that it covers the small holes.
- place it on top of the bottom jar and fill the filter coffe powder upto 3/4th of the top jar.
- Bring the water to a rolling boil and pour the hot water in the top jar upto the rim and close it with the lid immediately.
- the coffee decoction will slowly drop into the bottom jar.
- When the bottom jar is filled with the decoction, pour needed decoction into a tumbler or cup and add needed sugar and milk to it. For strong coffe add more decoction and a light coffe needs lesser decoction.
- mix well and have it hot.
