Tomato soup:

Tangy tomato soup is the best pick for winter. Here is how you can prepare this tangy hot tomato soup easily at home. In restaurants you get a thick soup where,they add corn starch to the soup. I have made a thin soup Here and you can mix a tablespoon of corn flour in water and add it to the soup when it's boiling for a more thicker consistency.
I have chopped the onions into fine chunks and used along with garlic. You can skip onions if you dont want it. I have added step by step instructions with pictures on how to prepare this tangy hot tomato soup.

Ingredients : 
Tomato-2
Water-2 cups
Onion-1/4 portion,chopped
Garlic pod-2
Cinnamon,bay leaf-1 each
Butter-1 spoon
Sugat-1 spoon
Pepper as salt-as needed
Fresh cream-1 spoon

Preparation:
1.Take enough water to immerse two tomatoes in a bowl. Bring it to a boil.
2. Add the tomatoes and switch off the heat immediately. Close it with a lid and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes.
3. Peel the skin from the tomatoes.
4. Chop the tomatoes directly into a blender and make a smooth puree.
5. Heat oil in a pan and add butter. Add the bay leaf added cinnamon.
6.Add garlic and fry until it turns brown.
7.Add onion (optional) and saute for few seconds.
8.Add the puree to the pan and pour enough water.
9.Add sugar,salt and pepper to the soup and boil it.
10.Switch off the heat.You can add a tbsp of cream and mix or choose to use it for garnishing when you serve the soup. Garnish with toasted bread piece and coriander leaves and serve hot.


Pumpkin soup 

Pumpkin soup will be perfect for a cold winter evening. This is an easy soup recipe with just few steps. You can also add few cubes of potato while boiling pumpkin for a more starchy soup.Adding cream to this will make it more rich in taste. 
Ingredients : 
  • Pumpkin cubes-1 cup
  • Water-1 cup
  • Garlic pods- 5 or 6
  • Butter-2 tsp
  • Pepper powder -1 tsp
  • Salt 
Preparation :
  • Boil the pumpkin and strain the water. Reserve the water.
  • Grind the pumpkin into a smooth paste.
  • Mix this with the rrserved water and bring it to a boil.
  • Mix salt and pepper.
  • Transfer toserving bowls 
  • Heat butter in a pan and fry garlic until it turns brown 
  • Garnish soup with fried garlic and coriander leaves 

 Vegetable soup

Nothing can be so comforting like a hot bowl of soup when you feel under the weather. Here is a tasty and healthy vegetable clear soup recipe. This can be given to babies and adults. 
Ingredients : 
Mixed vegetables-1/4 cup
Water-1 cup
Ginger-1 small piece
Garlic-1 pod
Fennel seeds-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 pinch
Pepper powder
Salt

Preparation:
  • Take the veggies in a bowl add water,ginger,garlic,fennel seeds and turmeric powder.
  • Boil irlt until the veggies are soft.
  • Strain the water and reserve it.
  • Now add the veggies to a blender and grind to a paste
  • Mix this paste with the reserved water and mix well
  • Strain again to remove bigger chunks 
  • Add salt and pepper as needed and serve hot.

Creamy veg soup

Here is an easy vegetable soup for babies and toddlers. 

Ingredients:

  • Mixed veggies-1 cup
  • Full cream milk-1 cup
  • Water -1 cup
  • Salt-as needed
  • Pepper-as needed
  • Chopped garlic-1 spoon
  • Coriander leaves-few
  • Butter-1 spoon
Preparation:
  • Boil the veggies in a cup of water until ot turns soft.
  • Filter  the water and reserve it.
  • Grind the veggies in a mixer.
  • Mix the veggies with the reserved water and mix well. Boil it.
  • Add the milk, salt and pepper powder and bring it to a boil. 
  • Transfer to serving bowls.
  • In a pan add the butter and fry garlic until it turns brown.
  • Garnish the soup with fried garlic and coriander leaves.

Orange Juice:

Oranges are great immunity boosters for babies. You can give orange juice on a regular basis. For babies less than a year old, you can dilute the juice with water ,to avoid cavities caused due to the sugars that are naturally present in fruit juices.



Avocado milkshake:

Avocado or butter fruit is loaded with nutrients. It has more potassium than bananas and is a fibre rich fruit. It helps in weight gain too with the good fatty acids present in it. Add this fruit to your baby's food either as a puree or in the form of milkshake.
Ingredients:
  • Avocado-1 ripe
  • Milk-1 cup
  • Honey(optional)

Directions:
  • Remove the seed and scoop the pulp from the fruit.
  • In a mixie jar add the pulp, milk and honey and blend for a minute.
  • serve!

Triple delight (Banana,apple,choco shake)

For babies who are hesitant to take fruits, here is an excellent option. They could never say no to this tasty triple delight made using bananas apples and chocolate. you can omit the chocolate for smaller babies and add honey or just give it plain.


Ingredients:
  • Banana-1
  • Apple-1
  • Chocolate powder or chocolate syrup-1 spoon 
  • Milk-1 cup

Directions:
  • Peel the skin of apple and chop into small slices. Chop the bananas too.
  • Blend everything together in a mixie jar for one minute and serve.

Papaya milkshake:

Papaya is one precious fruit loaded with nutrients.  It has several health benefits and is good if consumed on a regular basis. It aids in digestion and is good for eye sight.
Here is a fresh and yummy papaya milk shake recipe.
Directions to prepare:
Blend together few pieces of ripe papaya cubes with a glass of chilled milk.
The sweetness from papaya is more than enough but, you can add honey or sugar of you need more sweetness.

Ingredients:
  • Cocoa powder-2 tbsp
  • Full cream milk-2 cups
  • Scraped chocolate- 1tbsp
  • Sugar-2 tbsp
  • Water-3/4 cup
  • Cream- for topping(optional)
Method:
  1. Boil water in a saucepan. Simmer it.
  2. Add the cocoa powder and bring it to a boil.
  3. Add in the milk and sugar along with the chocolate.
  4. Simmer and cook until mixture turns smooth and creamy for about 5 minutes, by stirring continuously.
  5. Once done,transfer to mugs and top it up with cream and dust some cocoa powder on it.
  6. Enjoy your mug of creamy hot chocolate!
