Kerala's famous nendram chips is prepared using the nendram bananas and is sold in packets in most of the shops and super markets. During our trip to Munnar,Kerela I got to taste these chips hot and fresh in one of the restaurants and wanted to try it at home since then.freshly prepared nendram chips have a great taste compared to the packaged ones that are sold in shops. Try this easy and tasty chips at home and enjoy.
Ingredients:
- Nendram banana-1
- turmeric powder-1 tsp
- salt-as needed
- red chilly powder-1 tsp
- oil-for deep frying
Preparation:
- Slice the banana in a chips slicer.
- Add the turmeric powder and salt and mix well by sprinkling very little water.
- put it in a plate and let it sit until it gets dry.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the slices in medium heat until it turns crispy.
- remove it and drain excess oil in a paper towel then sprinkle the red chilly powder and mix it gently until the chips gets well coated.
- you can store it in air tight jars.
